2006 Italian Dressage Freestyle Championships
The 2006 Italian Dressage Freestyle Championships took place at
Cervia's "Le
Siepi" Equestrian Centre last weekend.
Riccardo and his team, which was composed on this occasion of Dario
Cacialli
with Rainbow 98 and Charlotte Lindstèn with Pluto Borka, arrived
in
the
pretty Adriatic town of Cervia on Thursday evening.
The first classes were held on Friday with varied results for the
team.
Dario Cacialli and Rainbow 98 were not able to show their best form;
Rainbow, who is highly strung and still a little green to be
consistent in
all of his outings, was unsettled throughout and thus not always
submissive.
However, the pair finished the Senior Freestyle Championship in 7th
place.
Things went differently for Charlotte, who took second place in the
F105
class on Friday with 63,118%. She then went on to win the F200 on
Saturday
with 65,714% and on Sunday took 1st place in the Junior Freestyle
Dressage
Championship with a percentage of 65,917.
Charlotte, however, is a Swedish National, and thus not eligibile to
take
the honours and the gold medal, which were awarded to the second
placed
competitor.
